Structured Training for African Researchers (STARs)

RESEARCH TRAINING PROGRAMME
The Technical University of Kenya  and the Association of Commonwealth Universities course on strengthening institutional approaches to the professional developmentof researchers.

ROUND 2 of TU-K staff includes the following:

  • Assistant Lecturer or Tutorial Fellow AND registered for PhD study.
  • Lecturers who obtained a Ph.D. less than 5 years ago on September 1st 2016 AND aged below 50 years.
  • Women are especially encouraged to apply.

VENUE: L Block Room L36. It is a two hour training. Register either for 9:00am to 11:00am or 11:00am to 1:00pm

Capacity 25 persons per session on a first come first served basis. Please bring a web enabled laptop.

ROUND ONE EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST NOW OPEN
Please send your application to the Office of the Executive Dean of Faculty on or before August 6th 2015. Applications are open to Technical University of Kenya staff. Applicants for phase one will be required to meet the following criteria.

  • Assistant Lecturer or Tutorial Fellow AND registered for PhD study (proof of registration will be required).
  • Lecturers who obtained a PhD less than 5 years ago on September 1st 2015 AND aged below 50 years.
  • Women are especially encouraged to apply.

Training Workshop – Advanced genomics and bioinformatics training workshop The BecA-ILRI Hub in collaboration with its partners has designed the training workshop on Advanced Bioinformatics to “train the trainer”.
